Wu long tea taste better without sugar, that's how my Chinese friends drink it. My American friends drink Wu Long tea with sugar. If you pay attention to the bottles on the dinning table in the Chinese restaurant in the States, there's always a bottle of sugar for you to add the flavor to your Wu Long tea. However, Wu Long tea isn't Black tea. Drink it without sugar next time, you will enjoy the mild fragrance more. :-)
